It was quite hard coming up with a best dressed list but I have no choice,haha. Below is my list of the ladies that made a grand effort to look good.Everything from the hair,to the nails and makeup was put into consideration.The list is in order of the most dressed to the least.
1.Desire Luzinda
The singer and mother of one was certainly everybody's best dressed for the night.She wore a custom made black sheer dress with lots of glitter and a tulle tail.
I also couldn't get my eyes off her hair and makeup.This hairstyle showed off her amazing cheek bones and award winning facial features.
For the makeup she chose a nude lip to go with her dark eye.
And her best accessory?Her darling daughter Michelle who wore a matching high low black outfit. I am in love!!!!!!!!!

2.Rena Nalumansi
In case you have been following,like I have,this has been a very fashionable year for this petite diva.Earlier this year,she held a very glamorous birthday party and wore some amazing clothes.So it was no surprise that she is second on this list.
For this event, I was standing next to her on the red carpet and I was amazed at how impeccable she looked.The off shoulder trend showed off her amazing neckline and the hair and makeup suited her face shape very well.
6.Kirabo Fyona
This outfit is not extra-ordinarily eye catching.You could easily ignore it.But when you look closer,it is something worth writing home about.Her makeup was impeccable and the fit of the dress was flattering for her.You can always trust Fiona Kirabo to bring it to the red carpet and bring it ,she did!

Wow,wow,wow!Is all I can say.Who knew that a trouser suit could look so beautiful.The beautiful actress brought the heat in this red matching pant suit and accessorized with all gold everything!Stunning is the word!!!
4.Mwaje Ahmed
I have met this lady before and I must say she has an awesome personality!As the winner of the best dressed guest at Last year's Abryanz Style and Fashion Awards,I was counting on Mwaje to rock the red carpet and trust me she murdered it.This look is timeless. I cant get over the beautiful detailing.I can see Beyonce or Jlo in this!
I wish she had smiled more or even looked more confident!

Ladies and gentlemen,this was the dress of the moment!Fashion Designer Anita Beryl wowed in a hot pink princess dress with a lovely bow detailing at the back.As the winner of the best fashion designer in Uganda awards,you can clearly see why this lady won!

Black is a safe colour and for all its worth ,this is a very safe dress.But Martha Kay carries herself like a billionaire-to-be and certainly gave this dress the flair it needed.I love that she chose a high bun that showed off her outstanding facial features and the dress hugged her curves perfectly.She could wear this dress to any red carpet event,even the 'Time 100 Most influential people in the world' red carpet and still look amazing!So flattering!
8.Vivian Bahati
I can't find very clear pictures of this lady in this dress so we shall have to do with this.The socialite and glamour girl wore this fitting sequined dress to the red carpet and wowed all who saw her!Perfect silhouette for her svelte figure!
9.Judith Heard
A lot was said about Judith Heard's outfit to Sk Mbuga's wedding.And to be honest,some of the comments were really crass and off.So you have to commend her for shutting down the haters with this dress.She looked impeccable, the dress showed off her svelte figure, but hun,with that turtle neckline and chandelier earrings, a high ponytail would have worked better and put you at number one on this list.But all in all you slayed and am loving this!Definitely a dress to remember!
10.Cynthia Nakiranda Kajoba
As the winner of the fashionista of the year,Cynthia dressed the part.It's as if she knew she was going to win.She rocked her hair in a side plait,opted for a dark lip and wore a lovely peach A-line dress with an amazing bodice!What can I say?This is how a lady should dress!Much respect!
11.Malaika Nyanzi
Malaika 's dress was simple and because it was,the fashionista ensured that she capitalizes on wonderful makeup and beautiful hair and accessories.Certainly a winning look!
12.Kalyn Atwooki
For a red carpet event, especially, one whose aim is to celebrate fashion,the beautiful designer Kalyn Atwooki rocked it!I wish she had chosen something smaller than that hat or lost it all together and rocked a high pony tail,so that we could at least see her face,but, the colour and the silhouette of this dress is stuff, that red carpet dressing is made of.

What can I say?If this lady were a billionaire,trust me we would have daily slayage!Natasha has impeccable taste and an eye for what works for her.I love this A-line dress on her,very regal and yet simple at the same time.I don't get the pinning at the bust area but this is a very wearable dress!

The celebrated media personality is a class act.Do not expect to see her in excessive bling or over-the-top styles.She always chooses clean lines,minimal accessories,minimal makeup and guess what?It works for her.This midnight blue dress is the type that inspires songs.Lovely!
15.Anita Fabiola
Anita Fabiola,what happened?She always leads the best dressed lists but this one was not really there.The bust area was too wide that it exposed her nipples,and her side pony tail was poorly done.But still, she looked better than most and made it to this list!Her slayage this year has been on point!
16.Anita Kevin
The little known fashion blogger and model wowed me with this simple and yet stunning look.Spotting a blonde hair cut,she rocked with a bright red lip and cut out dress.Amazing fit and beautiful smile!
17.Sylvia Namutebi
This dress looked amazing from a distance but at a closer look, not so much, the material was too shiny and looked a tad too cheap.I love this woman and the whole concept behind the dress was amazing but if only they had used a better material!
18.Sandra Lexy
Sandra Lexy always slays the red carpet and from the behind view you can tell that this was an amazing look!
If only she had showed us the front of this dress!!!!!
19.Zeinab Sonia
This is another one of those looks that could have easily made it to the top.But the bust area failed this beautiful lady and killed her entire look.But all in all am here for that hair,jewelry and makeup.Nice try!

Akon Lighting Africa hopes to bring solar power to 1 million households
Celebs who give back: Akon, a Senegalese-American R&B/hip hop superstar has seen firsthand that Africa has had little help to try to remedy its electrical situation. Akon spent much of his childhood in Senegal, and he noticed that nothing has really changed that much since his childhood regarding the power electricity in Senegal and other African Countries.
Best known for his hits “Smack That” and “I Wanna Love You” and other numerous awards icon. Akon has turned his attention to the development of the electrical grid in Africa working alongside Give1Project and ADS Global Corporation SA.
Akon is in partnership with Give1Project and ADS Global Corporation SA, has initiated the project “Akon Lighting Africa Project” tour which aims to bring electricity to one (1) million households in Africa by the end of 2015. The lack of electricity is currently a major problem in Africa.
A significant number of households in rural areas and even urban cities do not have access to electricity. The new project is termed “Akon Lighting Africa”, Akon and team are working together to see that steady electric supply is sustained in Africa. Consequently, he has kicked off the project by beginning with his home country Senegal. Keep up the good work!
