Zari Hassan and her new boyfriend, Tanzanian singer Diamond Platnumz, vistied the Genocide Memorial centre in Kigali ... the photos were so graphic and unbearable -- she cried.

 

Zari and Diamond paid a visit at the Kigali Genocide Memorial Centre, in Kigali, Rwanda --- this center was created by a joint partnership of the Kigali City Council and the Aegis Trust, a UK-based genocide prevention organization, to commemorate the Rwandan genocide in 1994.

According to wikipedia, since its opening, the Centre has welcomed over 100,000 visitors, including local Rwandans, young people and young leaders from around the Great Lakes region, politicians from the Great Lakes region and beyond — from countries throughout Africa and from the wider international communication.

MENDO’S TEACHER MPAMIRE COMEDY SERIES COMING SOON

Mendo has been contacted by both Ntv Uganda and Kenya asking requesting him rights to air the teach Mpamire series on their channels.

He says that some channel in Malawi has contacted him about airing the series.

The series is being shot from Mengo SS and Standard High School Zana.

Teacher Mpamire live show is a comic representation of a stereotype African teacher.

Mendo says the series humor is derived from the lighter side of issues leaning on the satirical point of view.

The sky is the limit for the comedian as opportunities continue for. The latest update I have is that he is set to perform in the USA.

He will perform at his former comedy school called Gotham comedy club in May.

NTV STARTS UP LUGANDA CHANNEL

The latest info I have is that NTV Uganda is set to establish a fully Luganda channel to out compete Bukedde TV in local viewership.

Though the managers didn't want the project to be publicized before they were ready,

I have it on good authority that the Serena based station will establish a new channel.

Ms Aggie Konde the Managing Director's last week broke the news to the staff of NTV at their end of year party.

"100% local content and presentation." She said. This will see news, entertainment, movies, sports and other programs presented in Luganda.

In March the channel will be on air.

 South African based Ugandan money bags, Katsha De’bank, has revealed Ivan Ssemwanga and King Lawrence secrets. The tycoon who was seen “fishing” dollars from his pool in South Africa recently, said that King Lawrence is so broke that he shares a room with another person at Serena Hotel and still claims to be richer than him. Katsha, in a recent interview said that he has more money than both of them combined. But they have refused to believe and continue to bad mouth him. “They know who has more money. They are stupid, they wanted me arrested last week so that they could see me spend all my money. King Lawrence, a brother to Ivan Semwanga, is said to be dating Kenyan socialite Huddah Monroe following recent pictures posted on social media of the two getting cozy after they spent Sunday evening together. As much as this show is bashed, campusers find themselves glued and laughing at chaps who show up for the show looking for dates. Twitter on Sunday evenings is dominated with the hashtag #BeMyDate and the rants on Facebook make this Be My Date the most popular TV show this year.

ARGATHA LOSWASH SPITS VENOM!

Makerere University third year student, and NBS TV presenter, Argatha Loswash today woke up on the wrong side of the right bed. The mass com student has come out to scoff at the ‘Basama’ (Ugandans from the diaspora) for their showy stunts. BROKE ‘RICH GANG’ FIGHT KATSHA: Frustrated Semwanga, Lawrence Rush To Wandegeya Police.

There is a bitter war in town! The so called ‘Rich Gang’, the South Africa based ragtag Ugandan crew of Ivan Semwanga, King Lawrence and Eddie Kyeyune aka Cheune have opened or imported their war against Katsha, real named Shafiq Katumba. The three have been fighting Katsha for quite a long time. In November King Lawrence secretly reported Katsha to police in South Africa accusing him of being involved in human trafficking and illegal mineral trading among others. Consequently Police raided Katsha’s home in upmarket Sandton, Johannesburg where he was questioned alongside his family members for four hours. Not much has come to light as to what police discovered at Katsha’s palatial home.
The rich gang is not done, and this is because of brokenness. Xclusive UG can confirm that all members of the rich gang Semwanga, Lawrence and Cheune are struggling financially with Semwanga having come for the Christmas holidays with just $10,000 (around shs26 million). This is laughable compared to over shs100 million he would blow the previous festive seasons.

The ‘Rich Gang’ is struggling financially

As a result the three have been trying hard to party with Katsha while they are in Kampala. Recently Katsha earned over shs1 billion after a deal. This left the Rich Gang and many South Africa based Ugandans envious, with some trying to bring him down.
When he refused to be part of the Rich Gang party at Liquid Silk that was set for tomorrow, the party was cancelled since they did not have money to pay.
Lawrence, Cheune and Semwanga had expected Katsha to pay all the shs60 million that was set to cover all costs but Katsha refused bluntly telling them that each should contribute shs15 million. Since they did not have the dime, the party was cancelled and this has rubbed them the wrong way.
Lawrence last week went to Wandegeya Police post and asked police to investigate Katsha. Like he told the South Africa police in November, he again told Uganda police that Katsha deals in human trafficking and illegal mineral trade.
However Katsha laughed off Lawrence’s accusations saying that since Lawrence claims the crimes were committed in South Africa he should let South Africa police handle this issue. Katsha has already spent over shs50 million ever since he arrived in Uganda for Christmas.
For the Jose Chameleone One Million concert he paid shs10 million.
According to his facebook information Katsha is a software test Engineer and Director of Katsha International Colleges in South Africa.

DJ SIMPLE SIMON IN TOWN FOR TONIGHT'S CLUB VENOM AND LIDO BEACH

Never disappointing Chameleone puts up impressive performance

  It was a night to remember as singer Jose Chameleone pulled all races of people to grace his concert. The first ever one million concert in Africa started on a slow note as revelers slowly trickled in for the show. Even after 8pm seats were still vacant, but it was later clear that either they had been caught up in traffic jam or the millionaire revelers were still concluding their day’s business as it was a full house after 9pm. Jose Chameleone as the only concert performer started off his historical concert at exactly 9pm with his smash hit Wale Wale where he was joined by his Karamajong dancers who kept joining him on stage at intervals. Jose Chameleone performed all his songs right from Mama Mia upto his most recent songs. Towards the close of the show, it turned into a request show as the singer only performed songs requested by the audience. Chameleone closed the concert at 11pm. The one Million concert attracted several prominent figures like Tanzania’s AY, the First Lady, Afande Kaweesa, Gashumba, Bobi Wine, DJ Micheal, Professor Big Eye, Kenya’s VIP singers and other celebrated people.

GEALA DOES CHARITY TO GET FOOD FOR NEEDY ON CHRISTMAS

For the second year running, GEALA Cosmetics hosted a fundraising dinner to feed the needy this Christmas. The fundraiser dubbed the GEALA Christmas Feed Fundraiser took place last Tuesday December 16, 2014, at The Wink, on Acacia Avenue in Kololo, Kampala.

“Christmas, is that holiday which everyone – no matter their social standing, sex, age etc – must enjoy. However due to widespread biting poverty, many continue to miss out even on just one good meal. But just like in 2013, this Christmas a lucky few got the chance to enjoy a sumptuous lunch courtesy of friends of GEALA,” says, GAELA CEO, Sandra Kabasambu, a young, UK based, Ugandan model and beauty queen, who organised the dinner.

“I know my project doesn't have a long term sustainability element to it, but I'm a big fan of the holidays. I'm a big fan of sharing the spirit of Christmas and we all know that a good meal is one of the surest ways to come together and enjoy the magic of holidays. Especially on the big ones. Christmas, Easter and Idd. It was that sense of togetherness and joy of a good meal that I wanted to bring to those who wouldn't have otherwise enjoyed it because of the deprivation they exist in.” She posted on her Facebook page.

The multi-talented Kabasambu who contested in the Miss Uganda-UK contest 2012, garnering the title of “People’s Queen” – returned to Kampala from London where she is an aspiring children’s nurse earlier this month.

She says her inspiration, to feed the needy stems from the numerous conversations she has had with a number of people who say they could not remember the last time they last tasted chicken or beef.

“It’s sobering imagining how many people can’t afford the luxury of what we take for granted,”says Kabasambu.

He has been one of the hottest artists this year. Khalifah Aganaga has received massive airplay on all media channels in Uganda and regionally with his dancehall like songs fused with afro pop.

With his popular songs like Onyitaganyo, Wanika emikono amongst others, this has seen the Makerere student gain popularity even in Europe.

Last month the star boarded the plane off to London where he held a show. The latest news I have for you about Khalifah is that he used his stay opportunity in England to shoot videos for his upcoming songs.

One of the songs “Love Story” has a trailer and in a critic’s view, the video is nice captured in High Definition and the script reflects that the director was vast with the singer’s singing about love.

I had complaints coming in from people that the Ushs 1million was so high for them, so we decided not to leave others out, that is why we set different prices,” he said.  Chameleone, however, insisted he will still give revellers an experience worth Ushs 1million.
