DIASPORA SINGER, ZANI FEATURES EDDY KENZO, VAMPINO AND JACKIE CHANDIRU IN UPCOMING ALBUM

Today I introduce to you Zani, a Ugandan afro pop artiste who lives in the diaspora. Her popular song is‘Ndoowa’. She was born and raised from Uganda but later moved to United States of America in search for a better life.

Zani aka Lady Chocolate, real names Susan Basemera is a
musician, model and film actress based in Hollywood California.

What you need to know about Lady Zani
At the age of eight, Zani started performing in her school
choir, youth centres and church choir.

Her love for music at such an early age was inspired by her
elder brother Shanks Gumaras a.k.a Shanks Vivie D.

In 1995, Zani was invited by the late Amigo Wawawa and Amos
Agaba of Schweppes Uganda to join the famous Waka Waka band.

At Waka Waka, Zani recorded her first singles Sam Twonjiwanga and Yimirira awo. This was her big break through musically.

In 1997, she released more big songs such as Nakoowa and Basemera which went on to become overnight hits. This earned Zani
the chance to perform at Sheraton Hotel as a lead singer on several theme
nights.

During one of her performances at Sheraton Hotel a visiting
producer and talent agent Thomas Posa watched her perform and he was amused by
this new talent.

Thomas Posa included Zani on his team and traveled with her
to the United States of America were she would mature as a great performer.
Thomas’s venture has been widely successful as Zani has grown into a respected
singer, model and film actress.

For all her time in the States, Zani has worked with several
producers and artistes including Janet Jackson, Jimmy Jean Louis, Nelly, King
Nat Jr, Ogopa DJs, Longombas, and Jerry Jackson.

Zani has also appeared in several movies such as India sleeper and Hit back yard. She has featured in a number of videos, T.V shows, and TV commercials plus playing cover girl in magazines such as Immigrant, Trends and African Vibes.

New projectsZani is outing a new song dubbed “Love You Golo Golo” off her new album produced by 2Face Idibia’s
Producer, Femi Ojetunde.

“In the whole album I have managed to do a few collabos with
various music producers and Ugandan artists like Eddy Kenzo, Jackie Chandiru,
Vampos, Racheal K plus some top Nigerian Artist that I won’t mention now
because I do not want to spoil the surprise," Zani says.

Come 2015, Zani promises to be a big artiste with a great
impact in the music industry.
